◼︎プラチナ箔仕上げについて
プラチナ箔は、金属のプラチナを厚さ1万分の1ミリまで延ばして作られる特別な素材。
光の角度や環境によって冷たく澄んだ輝きから柔らかな表情まで多彩に変化し、銀箔に比べ酸化しにくく、長い年月を経ても上品な光沢を保ちます。
職人の手で継ぎ目なく貼り込むことで、金属とは思えないほどしなやかな質感が生まれます。
微細な凹凸がもたらす奥行きある輝きが、自転車という日常の道具に新しい価値を添えています。

A special edition of the re tokyobike, adorned with platinum leaf across the entire frame using a traditional haku-oshi (metal leaf application) technique that has been passed down for over 400 years in Takaoka, Toyama Prefecture.
Its brilliance subtly shifts with changes in light and weather, embodying the concept of "cycle and attachment"—transforming everyday rides into meaningful experiences.

About the Platinum Leaf Finish
Platinum leaf is a rare and luxurious material, created by stretching platinum metal to a thickness of just 1/10,000th of a millimeter.
Its subtle luster shifts from a crisp, cool glow to a soft, warm sheen depending on the angle of the light and the surrounding environment.
Compared to silver leaf, it is highly resistant to oxidation, maintaining its elegant shine over time.
When applied seamlessly by hand, it creates a supple surface that belies its metallic nature.
The fine texture and depth of the platinum finish add entirely new value to the bicycle—transforming a daily object into a work of craftsmanship.
